Anti-harassment and discrimination policy
MEGA INSURANCE is committed to creating and
maintaining a work environment where all individuals are treated with dignity,
respect, and decency. The company emphasizes an atmosphere characterized by
mutual trust and the absence of intimidation, oppression, or exploitation. Any
form of unlawful discrimination or harassment will not be tolerated.
This policy applies to all employees at MEGA INSURANCE,
who are expected to comply with its provisions and take appropriate measures to
ensure that prohibited conduct does not occur. Disciplinary actions will be
enforced against any violation of this policy, and these may include verbal or
written reprimands, suspensions, or termination of employment.
Managers and supervisors are responsible for
preventing and addressing any form of discrimination or harassment within the
workplace. They must report any observed misconduct to Human Resources
immediately.
Discrimination involves unfair treatment based on
characteristics such as race, gender, or age. Harassment includes unwelcome
behavior that intimidates or humiliates others, while sexual harassment
constitutes unwanted sexual advances or conduct that creates a hostile
environment. Retaliation against individuals reporting discrimination or
harassment is strictly prohibited.
All employees are required to familiarize themselves
with this policy and report any incidents of discrimination or harassment they
witness or experience. The Human Resources department is responsible for
overseeing adherence to this policy, providing necessary training, and ensuring
procedures are followed in the event of a complaint. The Legal Department will
collaborate with HR to review complaints, ensure compliance with legal
standards, and provide guidance throughout the investigation process.
Complaints must be submitted as soon as possible,
preferably in writing. Human Resources will treat all complaints confidentially
and initiate an investigation into the allegations. If a violation is
determined, appropriate disciplinary action will be recommended based on the
severity of the conduct, frequency, and the quality of evidence.
Once the investigation concludes, individuals involved
will be informed of the findings. Employees retain the right to pursue legal
remedies through appropriate agencies or courts without facing any
repercussions for lodging complaints in good faith.
This
policy underscores MEGA INSURANCE's dedication to maintaining a safe and
respectful work environment where all employees can thrive. It fosters a
culture of inclusivity and mutual respect, which is essential to our
organization’s mission and values.
